Teaching
I am currently an Adjunct Instructor for the Columbia University School of Professional Studies’ Pre-College Programs, where I teach courses on economics and labor studies for high school students.
I strongly believe that economics education has an important role to play in promoting the common good of society. To that end, I am especially interested in developing innovative pedagogical strategies that are engaging, empirically motivated, and responsive to the real-world problems that initially draw many students to the field, such as inequality, climate change, and the future of work.
It was for those reasons that I was delighted to be selected as a 2019 CORE-Teagle Fellow by Curriculum Open-Access Resources in Economics USA (CORE-USA).
At the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, I was named runner-up for the Columbia University Department of Economics’ annual Wueller Teaching Award for best graduate teaching assistant in a core undergraduate class.
